It's so much fun to sit through a book such as this one entitled, The Bible Explorer's Guide: 1,000 Amazing Facts and Photos. You can sit down with your child and go through this book and find many fascinating discoveries that you may have forgotten about or didn't even know existed. It is fun because there is not only reference to scripture but also fascinating photographs. It so much fun seeing these places and artifacts in mire recent updated drawings or pictures.
There was a picture of an actual above ground tomb with a flat rock covering it. The book goes on to explain that this is custom in Jerusalem and that Jesus was buried in one much like the one in the picture. The one he was buried in was a borrowed tomb. The man's tomb was somewhat wealthy and had even provided the spices for Jesus' burial. There is even a drawing of on of the weapons believed to have been used on Jesus leading up to the Crucifixion.
There are tons of facts that relate throughout the entire Bible from Creation all the way up to how the Bible was written. Fascinating literature and facts that are sure to interest your entire family. Great book for your family library!
